What is Hybrid Tanning?

Hybrid Tanning is a mix of Red Light and UV tanning combined together in one unique tanning session.  The combination of both UV lights and Red-Light Therapy will help give you a more natural, long-lasting tan, and some great skin benefits as well.

How does it work?

Hybrid tanning beds/booths are fitted with bulbs that emit both red light and UV light, giving you the benefit of both. The UV rays emitted from bulbs in a hybrid tanning bed mimic those from the sun and help you to tan.  When the UV rays reach your skin, your skin responds by increasing melanin production, which darkens the color of your skin.

Red-Light therapy works very differently from UV light.  It will not tan or burn your skin as UV rays can, it instead counteracts the damaging effects that can be done by UV rays.  Red Light can help rejuvenate your skin causing it to be more supple and youthful.  Blood circulation has been known to increase where the skin is exposed to red light therapy, which causes the rejuvenation of the skin.

Why should you switch to Hybrid Tanning:

Combining the tanning effects of UV light and the skin rejuvenation benefits of red light, your tan and your skin are much better off using hybrid tanning beds compared to regular sunbeds. You also save time and won't need to hop around from one bed to the other to get the desired benefits from both UV and Red-Light. Hybrid tanning will provide you with an amazing more natural and longer lasting tan result.  Hybrid tanning will also help with production of collagen. As a result, you will receive more benefits such as:

·       Helps to rejuvenate your skin

·       Reduction of wrinkles and stretch marks

·       Helps with hair loss

·       Slower skin ageing

·       Helps with regulating blood pressure

·       Circulation improvements

·       Regeneration of damaged cells

·       Hybrid Tanning also has properties such as:

·       Helps with fighting inflammation

·       Acceleration of metabolism

·       Helps with stronger immune system

·       Reduction of stress and fatigue

Whether you tan indoors or outdoors, the process is the same.  Ultraviolet rays stimulate skin cells to produce melanin, the pigment that makes your skin tan. There are two types of ultraviolet light rays used in tanning beds -- UVA and UVB. Different indoor tanning units use different combinations of these two tanning rays. Whatever the combination, following proper exposure times minimize your risk of sunburn or overexposure. Smart tanning involves following the exposure schedule designed for your skin type and avoiding sunburn by tanning gradually.  By controlling the type and amount of UV light you receive in your bed, there is no doubt that this is the best, smartest place to acquire a tan.
